Characters Reflection
I would say that whatever you put under the "Make a Block", would happen when that block comes into play in your script. You would use "Make a Block" so that your script isn't too long, it would be a little shortcut for everything that you need that block to do.

Debug It Reflection
To debug I always checked to see what was the original problem, and what was preventing the scratch to work. In order to help someone learn how to debug, I would tell them to check to see what is wrong, and use other blocks to see if it can fix it. Just test things out and see what you need in order to make it work.
10 Block Challenge Reflection
This Challenged helped me learn how to create a certain assignment while being limited to only a certain amount of blocks. I thought the only bad thing about it was that our creation was limited because of the small amount of blocks we were able to use.

Try It Out Reflection
This activity was surprising because I realized that you needed to type it into HTML in order for it to post to my blog. I didn't like being led step by step throughout the project because it didn't help me at all. The directions were very unclear. I like having more structure when the structure is clear to me, I also like having more freedom. I like having more freedom when I get to create my own thing and get the assignment done with my own creation. I feel the most creative when I get to create my own thing.

W3Schools Tutorial
3 Things I want To Learn:
- I want to learn more about how the beginning of a sentence effects the way it shows up in the paragraph.
- Can this format be used to make anything other then sentences?
- How can this affect the future of typing?
- I learned that the beginning code is held in < >s
- You type in the code then enter it, then press see results to see what you have done.
- Why can't you just type regular words in order to make a webpage, why does it have to be in HTML format?

New Binary Code
For my personal Binary Codes, I chose % and * to represents the 0's and 1's. % represents 1, and * represents 0.
01000 00101 11001 is Hey in regular binary
*%*** **%*% %%**% is Hey in my binary.
01000 00101 11001 is Hey in regular binary
*%*** **%*% %%**% is Hey in my binary.
Why Do Computers Use Binary?
Things I learned:
-Analog Signal: A signal that is proportional to the value it represents
-Digital Signal: A signal that represents a value as a series of discreet values or digits
-Base Numerals: Representing a number using "n" digits
Things I didn't understand:
-The analog systems was confusing, I didn't fully understand how it works.
-I did not understand how the sound waves worked when this topic was applied to the speaker of cell phones. Also, the way sound traveled through the metal wire in headphones confused me a lot.
Something I want to learn:
-I want to learn sound wave frequencies and how to separate them from each other. I would also like to know more about how sound wave comes into play in this.

Google Boys
1. Google changed from a small two man operation to a large corporation when they were unable to sell their idea to any existing large tech company. They based their technology off of what they have seen from other search engine companies. They then decided to start their own company, and their idea took off.
2. Two challenges that Google is facing as it moves forward are: keeping up with other companies that have embraced Google's search technique while knowing which product areas to expand into, and also trying to sell their search engine to another company. Which fortunately, they failed at.
3. Their key to being ahead of the competition is to make sure that more people continue to use Google above other search engines. They did this by branching off more links to each link people chose so that a giant web was created. This led to more people choosing Google because they got more options for what they looked for.
4. They collect and save webpages with their robot crawlers, and have a very good algorithm to determine page listing priority. They used their technology to create a giant web with branches coming off of links.

Eliza
I did not find Eliza Human-Like at all. She didn't give any real responses, it seemed as if she was on repeat. In order to make her seem more human, I would apply more responses to her so that people don't get annoyed with her repetitiveness. Also, if she based her responses off of what the person types in to the input box. Obviously, no emotions are expected from coming from a computer. But Eliza could use her responses to seem more realistic. I think do to increase in modern technology, computers and computer response programs could definitely develop Human-Like emotions and actions.

African Cornrows
- Cornrows use 4 geometric concepts: Translation, Rotation, Reflection, and Dilation
- Cornrows date back to 500 B.C.
- Cornrow hairstyles in Africa also cover a wide social terrain: religion, kinship, status, age, ethnicity, and other attributes of identity can all be expressed in hairstyle.
- Mathematics is also a traditional part of African hairstyles.
- The braid patterns were commonly based on African tradition and styles.
- Madame C.J. Walker invented a system for straightening hair without the damage caused by other methods. She became the first black millionaire, and donated thousands of dollars to the NAACP and similar groups.
- “Many West African hair styles are worn by Negro women in the United States, including this one—“cornrows.” The hair is greased, combed, and tightly plaited.
- As the Afro began to wane in the 1970s, cornrows were on the rise.
- In the 1990s hip-hop artists from Ludacris to Lil’ Bow Wow could be seen with cornrows, and stylists continued to develop new innovations in cornrow braiding, best known from celebrity styles like those of basketball star Allen Iverson.

Native American Designs
1.) Native American bead work is well known for its beauty.
2.) The key part was the mathematical concepts it embodies.
3.) The type of symmetry it was based on was four-fold symmetry.
4.) The four images all have each shape or design repeated 4 times in 4 different corners.
5.) The four images are:
Embroidery, Plains Indians
Shoshone Beadwork
Pawnee Buffalo Hide Drum
Navajo Rug
6.) Reflection symmetry is when one half of a picture or design is the exact same as the other half but on a different side.
7.) One example of base 4 counting is how tepees were often made with four base poles, each placed in one of 4 directions.
8.) Four fold symmetry #3 was often used for Navajo Sand Paintings.
9.) Four Fold Symmetry #4 was often used for the Yupik Parka decorations.
10.) Four Fold Symmetry #5 is shown by rows and columns.
11.) Native American Beadwork was created before Europeans Arrived.
12.) These designs were used to record messages and historic events, and to help with Math and Science.

Communication
My personal communication choices were almost all texting and snapchatting with my friends because I find it fast and easy and I enjoy snapchatting. But my friend used a lot of emailing and phone calling, the emailing was only for school and the phone calling was with their parents. We both used texting though because we both agreed that it is the fastest and easiest way to communicate with friends.

Scavenger Hunt Reflection
I though that I did well when searching because I searched for something very specific things so it was much easier and faster to find what I was looking for. I think that I could improve on using other websites to find what I was looking for. I also think that I could try to find what I'm looking for without using Google.com.

I worked with Nikki on our project. We are doing very well working as a partnership and are seeming to get work done fast while working with each other.
